Recently, our national dialogue has focused on child welfare and how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), like the loss of a caregiver or parent, can cause long-term emotional, psychological and physical damage.
The decision was made on June 20, 2018, to rescind the “zero-tolerance” policy regarding the removal of children from their families at the border. We believe that this is a good first step, but know that more work needs to be done.
Child Crisis Arizona remains committed to its vision of safe kids…strong families because we believe that every single child should live without fear, in a loving environment free from abuse and neglect.
